Thank you for a lovely stay in your charming and rustic cottage. We have visited some beautiful areas and particularly loved the hilltop towns of Poppi and Citerna. Also we have so amazed by the beautiful and wonderful stars at night - stunning!! The fresh air and warm, sunny days have been so welcome. Thanks again.

28th June - 26th July 2008

We've had a wonderful 4 weeks and the cottage has been a great base camp for us to visit all the wonderfil surrounding towns, cities and countryside. Our battle with the local insect life was a tough one but we came through and the wildlife here is spectacular. Our favourites were the Wild Boar and the young Fox, the sandy bend in the road up is a nature hot spot it would seem. This is where we saw the 3 Boar, Fox and Buzzards.

Some places we found lovely that haven't been mentioned were San Leo, near San Marino (amazing), Fano for the beache and nearby Bagno di Romagna is a lovely little town and Restaurant Canacole in a converted church we highly recommend. Now we have to tear ourselves away from here! Thank you very much!

A wonderful stay. Enjoyed the cuckoos (all day long chirping) and the occasional owl hoot at night.
The wild spring flowers were spectacular.

We have had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful cottage. Have thoroughly enjoyed the mountain biking - exhausting uphills but exhillerating downhills! also great walks all around.
Lots of wildlife - saw deer, toads and ?? a porcupine - looked like it. Do you have them in Italy?
Romantic location, great place to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary.

What a beautiful place.  We have basked in hot sunshine and appreciated the wood burner in the cooler evenings.  The simplicity of life is so good for us all in contrast to our hectic lifestyles.  All eating-places fun and especially the pizzeria in the village.
We have travelled to all major towns and visited many wonderful buildings and viewed a rich and wealthy range of art and sculptures.
Many thanks for calling in to see if we were ok!

4th July - 31st July 2007

When we arrived here we had the idea of a holiday which consisted of a mix between walking in this wonderful landscape and making visits to the numerous centres of cutlutre around here; what proved to be most enjoyable is that for the first time we can remember, our holiday has been changed by the place in which we stayed and we decided to spend virtually all the time walking in this lovely area.
(That is apart from visiting our friend in Anghiari once or twice).
The power of the landscape can sometimes take us over, and we all need this, so thank you for that.
Last but not least, we have enjoyed the family at the pizzeria who were, as well as feeding us magnificent pizzas once a week, most friendly and helpful; we were sad to say goodbye for the present, to them.
We shall miss the wonderful array of plants, animals and insects, the sound of crickets singing at night, the lovely meadows and mountains, the stars, the food, the wine - what a wrench to leave!

Thank you so much
xx

21st June - 28th June 2007

We came here to escape the stresses of life working at a law firm (sound familiar?!) and guess what - it worked like a dream!  We have had such a relaxing week and with wonderful sunshine, have found it hard to tear ourselves away from the mountain!  As such, we haven't ventured far but explored Sansepolcro, Pieve and of course Bango di Romagna which was just a lucky find by chance!  The cottage could not be more perfect and really enables you to be more at one with the environment, which can only be a good thing.
We have seen some exciting wildlife - a baby wild boar, golden eagles, a small snake plus the owls at night were real highlights!  Not to mention all the beautiful butterflies!
Thank goodness this wonderful place is in as safe hands as yours!
Thanks for a really special week

14th June - 21st June 2007

Thank you so much for opening our eyes and introducing us to this beautiful and almost undiscovered part of Italy.  We thoroughly enjoyed our week here especially because of the peace and tranquillity of the area.  We found the locals very friendly and helpful.  It's an ideal position for visiting gems of Tuscany, especially Anghiari and Monterchi.  We're moving on to Siena and Pisa which rounds up our holiday in Italy, but we feel that we've already had the best of it right here!

Thanks again and take care

13th May - 20th May 2007

A wonderful and charming cottage surrounded by such breathtaking scenery and peacefulness, we loved exploring Tuscany particularly Anghiari and Arezzo.
In the evening with the fire going and reading by candlelight we felt a true sense of what it must have been like to live up here all those years ago!
One highlight was seeing a Hoopoe outside the front door.

Thanks for a fab break.

4th April - 11th April 2007

We had a wonderful stay at your lovely cottage, it was ideal for the two of us as a picturesque base.  We travelled just about everywhere in reach, but particularly enjoyed San Marino, Florence and Monterchi, for the views, diversity and peacefulness respectively.  We are sad to leave on our last day but will return soon.

4 March - 31 March 2007

What an enchanting place to stay with only the welcome sound of birdsong to disturb the peace.
And what a perfect location to explore the wonders of Tuscany and Umbria.
We spent the past few weeks visiting and revisiting Assisi, Cortona, Spoleto, Siena, Florence, Perugia, Arezzo, Todi and seeing for the first time charming Anghiari, Monterchi, La Verna, Caprese Michelangelo, Gubbio, Orvieto and of course Sansepolcro and Pieve Santo Stefano.
We've enjoyed our stay very much and are sad to leave this special place.

With thanks, Edward & Nuala.

6 November - 15 November 2006

What a wonderful place!  We loved drinking coffee outside in the mornings, enjoying the beautiful views and relaxing in front of the crackling fire in the evenings.  Assisi was our favourite place, but alos thoroughly enjoyed exploring Gubbio, Sansepolcro, and Citta di Castello.  We're off to spend the rest of our honeymoon in Siena and Florence now, and want to say a big thank you for giving it such a great start!  We'll miss it and will be back.  All the best!

Ken & Kate.

PS The weather was perfect.

27 September - 7 October 2006

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely mountain cottage.  We had a wonderful holiday.  Everything was perfect - the location, weather and especially the beautiful scenery.  Thank you for the helpful guide to the area.  We really enjoyed your recommendations.  We loved Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Monterchi and further afield Perugia, Cortona, Arezzo and Assisi.  We came across the antiques market in Arezzo which is the first weekend of the month and which was fascinating.  Pasta Fresca in Pieve was a big favourite and the local Pizzeria does the best pizzas ever!

We really can't wait to come back.  Thanks again.
